Maman sultan ruled such cities as Ikan, Sauran, Otyrar, Turkestan, Ogiztau, Sozak in South-Kazakhstan region of Syr Darya, was son of Barak khan Tursyn khan uly. In book written by I. Erofeeva “Kazakh khans and khan dynasties of XVIII – and mid of XIX centuries”, “Symbols of Kazakh sovereignty” – A., 2001 he is said to be the eldest son of Barak khan. Information in encyclopedic reference book “Kazakh khans”, published by executive editors M. Qozha and H. Tursun says that “according to another hypothesis, Barak khan and his sons were sent together with Abulkahir”. (KAZAKH KHANS 2015: 84–85). It happed in 1750 and possibly he was killed and buried together with his father.
