Employees of “Azret Sultan” Museum-Reserve visited the State Historical-Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve “Tanbaly”, located in Zhambyl district of Almaty region, with a special traveling exhibition. The aim of the exhibition is popularization of museum exhibits and its values among the population.
The head of the Research Department, Nurmaksutov Kuanysh, researcher Myrzabai Dastan and junior researcher Orashova Anar came to the exhibition.
The museum was opened in 2003 and was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2004.
The State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve-Museum is part of the archeological landscape of Tamgaly, which occupies 900 hectares, and the intermediate part of the region is occupied by the monuments included in the World Cultural Heritage List, located on 2900 hectares.
About one hundred monuments, settlements, tombs, rock paintings of different times in Tanbaly archaeological complex cover the period from the Bronze Age of the XIV-XIII centuries to the XIX-XX centuries.
