INSCRIPTIONS ON THE NOTHERN FACADE OF THE MAUSOLEUM

The northern facade of the mausoleum is bordered with two three-quarter corner and consists of three parts: a portal, a wall to the right of portal and wall to the left of portal. The length of the wall from the northwest column to the portal is 15.6 v and from the northeast column to the portal – 14.9 m. The doors of the mosque, the tomb, the big Aq-Saray and two corridors, and also windows and roof water-drains exit to the northern facade. In the design of the walls6 corner columns and portal epigraphic décor is used. Inscriptions on the both walls are made with circular geometric Kufic. The first letter “Alif” and the last two letters in the word “yudabbir” on the right wing, and also the first letter “Waw” and the last letter “Ra” on the left wing are made with dark blue bricks, and other letters – with turquoise bricks. Both inscriptions supplement each other.

Translation:

A [God’s] servant proposes but all will be as Allah determines!
