Seeing Once Is Better Than Hearing a Hundred Times

Earlier, we mentioned that a traveling exhibition of the “Aziret Sultan” museum-reserve was being organized in educational institutions of our city. Inspired by the meaningful stories they heard during this event, students decided to visit our museum-reserve in person to see the valuable artifacts passed down from ancient times, truly embracing the saying, “Seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times.”

Our President, K. Tokayev, once said, “Raising an enlightened generation is an extremely responsible and complex task. A child who grows up immersed in national values will have deep knowledge and strong character.” He emphasized the importance of young people understanding their history and developing a patriotic spirit.

On February 21, 168 students from the “Arman-M School” visited the museum-reserve. The tour guides divided the students into four groups and first took them to explore the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, a shared cultural treasure and source of historical pride. Following that, they introduced the students to the rich exhibits of the “Yasawi” museum.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the teachers and school administration who led these curious students on such an educational journey. Strengthening the connection between children and museums helps young minds appreciate their homeland, understand the legacy of their ancestors, strive for noble goals, and develop into patriotic citizens.

In the future, we will continue organizing regular visits to our museum-reserve for students from city and district schools. Students from grades 6 to 10 will have the opportunity to see ancient monuments that reflect the stories of past eras, enhancing their historical knowledge.
