Historical Heritage Promoted

On February 18, a unique exhibition-lecture titled “The History of Turkestan and the Yasawi Heritage” was held at “Arman-M School” in Turkestan for students and teachers. The event aimed to introduce the ancient city’s history, the legacy of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, and the cultural features of the Turkestan region.

During the exhibition, students had the opportunity to explore rare historical artifacts discovered in the Turkestan region and preserved in the museum-reserve’s collection. The display included applied art objects, household items, and ancient pottery and vessels made of copper, silver, and clay — all bearing the traces and stories of past eras.

In addition, informative insights were provided about the architectural features of the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum, its historical significance, the secrets and symbolic meanings of the epigraphic inscriptions, as well as the original artifacts preserved within the mausoleum.

Throughout the event, teachers and students gained comprehensive knowledge about the ancient city’s history and its spiritual heritage. During the discussion of historical facts, students received detailed answers to their questions and delved deeper into the mysteries of past centuries.

At the end of the gathering, students expressed keen interest in exploring the historical sites located within the “Aziret Sultan” National Museum-Reserve and visiting its exhibition halls, promising to organize a spiritual journey.

This educational and cultural event, blending knowledge and history, provided students with an excellent opportunity to experience Turkestan’s rich cultural heritage.

Yskak, Exhibition Organizer of the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
