“Young Restorer” Club

Goal of the “Young Restorer” Club:

To foster love for the history, spirituality, culture, and traditions of the country, as well as to cultivate patriotism and civic responsibility.

Objectives of the “Young Restorer” Club:

  • The main task of the club is to develop students’ theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of restoration;
  • To spark participants’ interest in the science of restoration and conservation.

The “Young Restorer” creative club is a project for schoolchildren interested in preserving and restoring historical and cultural heritage. During the program, students become familiar with the key concepts of restoration, its methods, and preservation rules. In the course of the lessons, children study the structure of museum objects, the material properties, the causes of damage, and ways of restoration. Through practical exercises, they work with materials such as plaster, clay, wood, and paints, and learn the initial stages of restoring damaged or partially destroyed objects. The club activities require creativity, precision, and attentiveness, helping children to develop patience and responsibility. At the end of the program, participants reconstruct samples of museum objects and organize a small exhibition. This club teaches the younger generation the culture of preserving historical artifacts and enhances their aesthetic appreciation.
