Members of the scientific expedition “In the footsteps of Yasavi”, organized by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, visited the Zhambyl region.
The expedition, which left Turkestan, visited the peak of the architectural thought of the Karakhanids of the XI-XII centuries. mausoleums of Aisha-bibi and Babadzha-khatun.
During the visit, the members of the expedition who visited the palace complex Akyrtas full of secrets and mysteries, which attracted the attention of many scientists and researchers. The members of the expedition got acquainted with the work carried out in the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Monuments of Ancient Taraz”, and also exchanged views with experts.
In this regard, a meeting was organized, during which the head of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan” spoke about the goals of the trip to the Zhambyl region and about the course of historical research, the work done and planned to modernize public consciousness on the territory of the museum-reserve ” Azret Sultan “.
During the meeting, Director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan” N. Akhmetzhanov and Director of the Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Monuments of Ancient Taraz” N. Bykybaev agreed to resolve a number of issues on cooperation and exchange of experience between the two institutions.
Also during the visit, the members of the expedition “In the footsteps of Yasavi” got acquainted with the ancient settlement of Taraz and the medieval mausoleums of Karakhan and Dautbek. The mausoleums are located in the western part of the settlement.
Recall that the historical-documentary expedition “In the footsteps of Yasawi”, organized by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, was held in the regions of Sairam, Sozak, in order to compile a complete picture of the life of the great Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, collecting detailed information, starting with childhood and ending with the students and contemporaries of Yasawi.
