The grand opening of the exhibition «Life in the Museum» took place.

Today, the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Azіret Sultan» held the grand opening of the exhibition «Life in the Museum.» It was dedicated to the 70th birthday of the distinguished figure and custodian of cultural treasures, Rakhiya Suleimenovna Zhuzbaeva, who dedicated nearly half a century of her life to museology.

The event was opened by M. Tastanbekov, Deputy Director for Research at the National Museum-Reserve «Azіret Sultan,» and G. Sarsenbaev, Chairman of the Turkestan City Maslikhat, who expressed words of gratitude and warm wishes to the jubilee, particularly noting her contribution to the development of museums.

At the ceremony, Rahiyya Suleimenovna received special congratulatory letters from the Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E. Dekenov, and the Akim of the Turkestan Region, N. Kosherov, as well as the Chairman of the regional branch of the Kazakhstan Sectoral Trade Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers, A. Temirkhan. These congratulations are a high recognition of Rahiyya Suleimenovna’s achievements.

The event was attended by Rahiyya Suleimenovna’s colleagues, students, friends, and relatives, as well as scholars, members of the regional council of elders, and representatives of the cultural sector. During the event, her first teacher, Zh. Tursynbekova, shared warm memories, and her friends and colleagues expressed their good wishes.

The exhibition featured photographs, research articles, awards, and memorabilia attesting to Rakhiya Suleimenovna’s hard work and spiritual commitment to the museum field. A video about her life and professional work was also shown, and a tour of the exhibition was given.

Following the exhibition, guests participated in the «Man of Labor» program held in the Yasawi Museum assembly hall. The program included an open discussion with Rakhiya Suleimenovna, and our staff and students from the Children and Adolescent Center showcased their creative work.

At the end of the event, a festive table was set for the participants, where they expressed warm words and took a commemorative photo.
