The exhibition “Turkistan – the Radiance of Millennia” opened in the Syr Region

Today, a grand closing ceremony for the exhibition “Turkistan – the Radiance of Millennia” was held in the city of Kyzylorda. The event was attended by the staff of the Kyzylorda Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, local historian and member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan Zhumabay Baizakuly, students of “Bolashak” University, as well as representatives of the regional intellectual community and the media.

For 2025, the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve has planned about sixty exhibitions. These include two international, five republican, as well as traveling thematic projects to be implemented in educational institutions and within the region. The exhibition in Kyzylorda is one of the major events concluding the 2025 season of the museum-reserve.

At the ceremonial meeting, Zhannat Daurenkizy Akhmetova, Deputy Director of the Kyzylorda Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the “Aziret Sultan” museum-reserve for initiating the exhibition in the sacred Syr Region and emphasized the importance of such cultural projects in shaping the historical awareness of the younger generation.

Murаt Meiyirbekuly Tastanbekov, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the “Aziret Sultan” museum-reserve, thanked the local community for their warm reception and expressed appreciation to the regional museum administration for their contribution to organizing the exhibition. He also presented letters of appreciation and museum publications to students from the Aral district and their mentor Zhanat Raskyzy, who came specially to attend the event.

A particularly memorable moment of the event was the performance by students of grades 7–11 from School No. 220 in the Aral district — Arai Ernatkyzy and Merey Atabek — who won prizes in the “Yassawi Studies” competition. They delivered expressive readings of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi’s hikmets “Ua, Zharatkan” and “Antal Hadi”, adding spiritual depth to the exhibition and leaving a strong impression on the audience.

Over the next two weeks, residents and guests of Kyzylorda will have the opportunity to visit the “Turkistan – the Radiance of Millennia” exhibition. The exposition presents the centuries-old history, culture, and spiritual heritage of Turkistan, offering visitors a unique experience and aesthetic delight.

К.Ysqaq, Exhibition Organizer.
