State Counselor Erlan Karin took part in the opening of the international symposium «Yasavi’s Heritage in the Dialogue of Time and Culture: Humanistic Orientation and Modern Challenges» held in Turkestan.
The initiative to hold this symposium was put forward by the Head of State at the third session of the National Congress in Atyrau. The President said at a collegial meeting: «It is necessary to pay special attention to the in-depth study and glorification of the legacy of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.» «First of all, it is necessary to invite scientists from our country and from abroad and hold a special symposium on this issue.»
Erlan Karin read out the congratulatory message of the Head of State to the participants of the symposium.
The State Counselor noted that this symposium will make a significant contribution to the systematic study of Yasawi’s humanistic ideas and the popularization of his spiritual and intellectual heritage.
The conference is attended by about one hundred prominent scientists from our country, Azerbaijan, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Japan. The symposium will feature thematic sections, including scientific reports and discussions covering various aspects of Yasawi’s heritage. Scientists will also exchange experiences.
