On March 31, 2021, within the framework of the national project “Tauelsizdik Urpaktary” in connection with the announcement of the month of Nauryz “Madeniyet aiy” and in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum “Azret Sultan” was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan competitions in the national games togyzkumalak, asyk atu among schoolchildren of the city, which are included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
The competition was attended by pupils of togyzkumalak and asyk atu circles from all schools of the Turkestan city department for the development of human capital and the “Children and youth center”.
The purpose of the competition is to form in children a sense of respect for the rich cultural heritage of our people for the game asyk atu, togyzkumalak through the popularization of mass sports in the country.
According to the rules, pupils of grades 3-7 took part in competitions in asyk atu, students in grades 3-10 took part in togyzkumalak competitions.
In the asyk atu competition, 1st place was taken by Temirkhan Yerdaulet, 2nd place was taken by Zhanabek Bakkeldi, Abdrakhman Imangali, 3rd place was taken by Baglanuly Asylbek, Shekerbay Nurtas, Eshpek Sayan.
In the togyzkumalak competition, 1st place was taken by Kokush Bekzhigit, 2nd place was taken by Zhusupali Margulan, Ergenbaykyzy Akerke, 3rd place was taken by Absattar Nurai, Islam Nurbekkozha, Duysenbek Inzhu.
