Currently, there are 45 historical and cultural monuments on the territory of the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Әзірет Сұлтан”. Among them, about 30 monuments are located on the territory of Old Turkestan. The Department of Protection and Accounting of Historical and Cultural Heritage Monuments constantly monitors the safety of these objects and does not damage them under the influence of external factors.

Another function of the department is to organize an event for the care and preservation of historical monuments from their destruction.
