On August 28, in the Library Hall of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, a thematic exhibition titled “Özbekäli Zhanibekov – Researcher and Scholar” was opened, dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding son of the steppe, a prominent figure who made a significant contribution to the science and culture of our nation – Özbekäli Zhanibekov.

The main purpose of the event was to promote the versatile personality of the scholar, to present his profound and pioneering research as an example for the younger generation, and to showcase valuable exhibits from the museum’s collection to the public.

The exhibition featured:
— Personal belongings of Özbekäli Zhanibekov used in his office work;
— His scientific works and manuscripts;
— Published articles, books, and editions;
— Photographs and rare documents from his personal archive.

The event was attended by representatives of the city administration and local museum directors, staff of the Farab city library, the community of elder women of Turkistan, representatives of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality, as well as Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, along with city residents and guests.

As part of the event, a collection of memoirs about Özbekäli Zhanibekov titled “Arda tugan Özagha” (“Our Honorable Elder Brother”), compiled by Dinara Berikkyzy, a researcher of the Yasawi Studies Scientific Center, was presented to the museum library.

Özbekäli Zhanibekov was not only a researcher and scholar, but also a beacon of national spirituality and an outstanding figure of our culture. His rich scientific legacy and works will remain an eternal example for future generations.
