🔹 On November 17, 2025, the opening of the traveling exhibition “Turkestan. Light of Millennia” took place at the Zhanakorgan District Historical and Local Lore Museum, part of the Kyzylorda Regional Museum. The main goal of the exhibition is to widely promote the historical essence and spiritual heritage of the great thinker, shared by the entire Turkic world, Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, as well as to introduce the public to the works of his students and followers.
According to the plan, this event was supposed to take place on November 18 at the Kyzylorda Regional Historical and Local Lore Museum, but at the special request of the museum management, it was held in Zhanakorgan District.
🔹 The exhibition presents valuable materials reflecting the history of the cities of the Turkestan Oasis. Particular interest is aroused by archaeological finds from the Sherbai and Shpan burial sites, as well as historical artifacts from the Shaugar–Shoytobe and Yasy–Kultobe settlements.
In addition, visitors were presented with the first Turkic translation of the Holy Quran from the 10th century, selected works of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi — “Diwani Hikmet”, “Pakyrnama”, and valuable manuscripts left by his students.
🔹 The event was attended by Bektaş Balgabayuly, Deputy Akim of Zhanakorgan District; Murat Meirbekuly, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Äziret Sultan”; staff of the Public Development Department; members of the District Veterans Council; specialists of the Youth Resource Center; imams of the central mosque; archival staff; and school students.
Opening the exhibition, Deputy Akim Bektaş Balgabayuly expressed gratitude to the museum-reserve management for promoting the valuable spiritual heritage of sacred Turkestan and emphasized the significance of the event as a source of spiritual enrichment for the district’s residents.
🔹 At the end of the event, employees of the museum-reserve “Äziret Sultan” were presented with letters of appreciation and special gifts on behalf of the Deputy Akim of the district.
