As part of the national campaign “Children of Kazakhstan” dedicated to International Children’s Day, the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Azret Sultan” hosted a exhibition entitled “Journey to Childhood”.
The exhibition consisted of two sections. The first section showcased various types of toys from different historical periods. Visitors were given the opportunity not only to view but also to touch and play with the toys on display.
In the second section, at an interactive area, guests played traditional games such as “läñgi” (a foot game), “asıq” shooting, “Jüzigim-jüzigim”, “Akserik and Kokserik”, as well as various ball games.
Throughout the event, participants enjoyed a festive atmosphere, recalled their joyful and carefree childhood moments, and embarked on a symbolic “journey back to childhood.”
It is noteworthy that the toys displayed at the exhibition were brought in by the museum’s own staff. These memorable childhood items and active games uplifted the mood of all attendees.
