An educational lesson on the topic «Crafts — the heritage of the people» was held at the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Azret Sultan». Children who took part in the event got acquainted with examples of national crafts and learned how to work with various materials.
Kazakh crafts are a rich heritage passed down from generation to generation. They include such arts as felting, embroidery, ornamentation, jewelry, wood and bone carving.
The lesson was conducted by a methodologist from the museum’s exposition and exhibition department, who told about the techniques of working with felt, threads, beads, and a needle. The children made small crafts with their own hands and learned new information about the national traditions and culture of the Kazakh people.
