BOOK PRESENTATION HELD

Today, in Almaty, at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a gathering of representatives of the scientific and cultural community took place as part of the event titled “The 4th Meeting of the Association of Kazakh Manuscript Scholars.”
The event began with a presentation by A. Zhamashev, PhD, associate professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and manuscript scholar, titled:
“Experience in Introducing Manuscripts into Academic Circulation: The Process of Editing Ibn Himmat ad-Dimashqi’s Hulāsat an-Nukhba.”

In the second part of the scientific meeting, the presentation of the book “The Cultural History of Islam and Yassawiyya in Kazakhstan and Central Asia” took place, published by the Azret Sultan National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve and consisting of articles by Professor Devin DeWeese.
The head of the Yassawiyya Studies Center, S. Mollaqanatuly, spoke about the book’s content and its main sections.

At the end of the event, the official book presentation ceremony was held. The ribbon was cut by. N. Dükenbayev, Acting Director of the Azret Sultan National Museum-Reserve, Scholar, PhD A. Zhamashev, Candidate of Historical Sciences Z. Zhandarbek, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor T. Kydyr.
