AN EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP “THE ART OF CRAFT” HELD FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

🔹 Today, the Museum Pedagogy Department of the “Azret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve held an educational workshop titled “The Art of Craft,” dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Students with special educational needs took part in the event, showcasing their creative abilities.

🔹 During the workshop, the children used clay to sculpt miniature items representing elements of national decorative and applied arts — such as bowls, teapots, and pitchers. This activity not only developed their imagination and fine motor skills but also allowed them to feel the centuries-old value of traditional craftsmanship.

🔹 The purpose of the event was to support the creative potential of children with special needs, create conditions for their self-development, strengthen their confidence through art, promote social adaptation, and establish an inclusive environment within the museum space.

🔹 The specialists of the Museum Pedagogy Department highly praised the children’s interest in craftsmanship, noting each of their ideas and creativity. The children communicated freely with one another and developed their artistic skills in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The event was bright, enjoyable, and left positive impressions.
