“ALTYN DOMBYRA” EVENT HELD

The dombyra, a sacred instrument that has become the voice of the nation, is an integral part of the spiritual heritage and culture of our people. In honor of this occasion, and with the aim of introducing and promoting national art among the younger generation, on July 4 the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum organized a thematic event titled “Altyn Dombyra” at the “Balausa” children’s recreation camp in Turkistan. The Museum’s Department of Exposition and Exhibition Services presented an educational photo exhibition for schoolchildren, sharing fascinating information about the history and features of the dombyra. Gifted children showcased their talents and were awarded letters of appreciation and prizes.

The special guest of the event, dombyra craftsman Zhambyl Arystanaliuly, conducted an engaging workshop about the making, structure, and craftsmanship of the instrument. The children had the opportunity to hold the dombyra in their hands, which deepened their interest in the national heritage. We extend our gratitude to the camp director, Balzhan Nasirdinkyzy, for her support and contribution to the successful organization of the event and for encouraging the active participation of the children. This cultural event with talented children became an important step in uniting art and history and in promoting national values.
