Today in the West Kazakhstan region in the historical and local lore museum organised by the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Aziret Sultan», the grand opening of the travelling exhibition «Khoja Ahmet Yasawi and historical Turkestan» took place.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs Kambetov Medhat Musauly, Director of the Centre for Children’s and Adolescent Tourism and Ecology «Atameken» Zhasulan Nurlybekuly, as well as professors, historians and students from the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology and the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisova. The event was also attended by the Universal Library named after J. Moldagalieva and employees of the children’s and teenage library of Kh. Yesenzhanov, volunteers of the youth resource centre «Zhaiyk zhastary» and media representatives.
Speaking first at the exhibition, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of the West Kazakhstan Region Medhat Musauly noted that this exhibition is of great importance in the promotion and development of the spiritual and cultural heritage of our country, as well as in the education of patriotism and the transfer of the rich history of our country to the younger generation.
In turn, the organiser of the exhibition Iskak Kyanysh in his opening speech noted the importance of the centuries old history of Turkestan and the value of Yasawy’s heritage in the formation of the feature and educated responsible generation.
The tour of this exhibition was conducted by Saduakasov Daniyar, a tour guide of the National Museum Resrve “Azret Sultan “
This exhibition gives a great opportunity to the Urals to get acquainted with the rich heritage of the historical city and its majestic relics without coming to Turkestan.
The exhibition will last until December 4th.
