A photo and book exhibition on the theme “Independence and Turkestan” was organized by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum “Azret Sultan” at the secondary school named after Amangeldy, Sauran district.
The exhibition, which aims to promote the 30th anniversary of Independence of the country and the works of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev “Future Orientation: Spiritual Revival”, “Seven Edges of the Great Steppe”, provided information about the medieval historical artifacts in the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and valuable books.
The exhibition was attended by school administration, teachers and pupils. During the meeting, T. Orazov, a researcher at the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, gave a lecture on the topic “Independence is our main value”, K. Nurakhmetova, a tour guide, told pupils about the importance of the concepts of Independence and Turkestan in the past, present and future.
During the meeting, students also expressed their opinions, asked questions on the preservation, protection, and research of historical heritage, to which they received exhaustive answers.
