Today, in the city of Almaty, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the “Azret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the spiritual agreement, the library and the museum-reserve discussed their upcoming joint work.
After the official ceremony, the museum delegation became acquainted with Qurans from the 12th and 18th centuries preserved in the collection of the National Library, which were brought from the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. The parties also discussed issues of reproducing and restoring these sacred manuscripts.
In addition, specialists from the museum-reserve examined the manuscript “Nasabnama” and various editions of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi’s Divani Hikmet, published between 1902 and 1910 in Kazan, Tashkent, and Istanbul.
