- To demonstrate the fundamentals of archaeological excavations;
- To develop research skills through play-based methods.
The “Young Archaeologist” creative club is an educational and practical program designed for school-aged children. The program consists of 12 sessions. During the course, students are introduced to the basic concepts of archaeology and learn the stages and methods of archaeological excavations. Children gain knowledge about ancient settlements, historical monuments, and artifacts, while developing independent research and observation skills. Throughout the sessions, they work with clay, modeling replicas of ancient objects, thereby acquiring elements of applied arts. Each class includes games, creative tasks, and group work, which increase children’s interest and provide structured museum education. At the end of the program, students demonstrate their knowledge in practice by participating in a small exhibition or competition. This project fosters respect for history among the younger generation and enhances their research and critical thinking skills.
