RAILWAY – THE LIFELINE OF THE NATION

Today, at the Turkistan Locomotive Operation Depot, an important event titled “Railway – The Lifeline of the Nation” was held, organized by the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the year 2025 has been declared the “Year of Working Professions”, emphasizing the importance of honoring the dedication and professionalism of ordinary workers. In this regard, recognition was given to veterans and employees of the railway sector in Turkistan, who have faithfully and responsibly served for many years.

The purpose of the event was to highlight the value of each railway worker’s contribution and to showcase their role in national development as an inspiring example for the younger generation.

The Acting Director of the “Aziret Sultan” National Reserve-Museum, Saipulla Mollakanagatuly, was the first to address the gathering. He congratulated railway workers on their recent professional holiday and stressed that their work, being both complex and highly responsible, is nothing short of heroic.

Honored veterans of the sector – Baltabay Öskenbayev and Khamdiya Shakirova – shared valuable memories from their years of service and extended their heartfelt wishes and advice to the youth.

Indeed, railway workers are true bearers of responsibility, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of passengers and cargo around the clock, regardless of weather conditions.

The event was adorned with artistic performances by young talents: Aisultan Momysh performed the song “Turkistan”, while Almaz Momysh presented the kui “Alash Amanaty”.

During the meeting, railway employee Usen Zhumanov expressed sincere gratitude to the museum-reserve administration for recognizing and appreciating the efforts of ordinary railway workers.

At the conclusion of the event, veterans and employees were presented with letters of appreciation, printed publications of the museum-reserve, and commemorative gifts.
