EXHIBITION ON THE THEME “TURKISTAN AND THE HERITAGE OF KHOJA AHMED YASAWI”

On February 28, at Abai Secondary School in the village of Sh. Kaldaiakov, Otyrar District, the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum organized a traveling exhibition-lecture titled “Turkistan and the Heritage of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.”

Reading history in books is one thing, but seeing it with your own eyes is an entirely different experience!

During the exhibition-lecture, students and teachers gained a deeper understanding of the historical significance of the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum and were introduced to valuable artifacts such as the Taikazan, ancient ceramics, jewelry, and works of applied art. Each exhibit served as a precious link, echoing the voices of centuries past.

The archaeological finds made a lasting impression, transporting participants on a journey through history. Ancient vessels, metalware, and handcrafted items discovered in the Turkistan steppe allowed students to feel the breath of past ages.

“Feel, See, Experience” — this was the defining feature of the exhibition. Students were able to witness with their own eyes what they had previously only read about in textbooks, helping them to more deeply appreciate the importance of national heritage.

Teachers emphasized that this event plays a significant role in shaping the historical awareness of the younger generation.
