EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO THE 65TH ANNIVERSARY OF MURATBEK DUYSEMBEKOV OPENED

At the “Aziret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum, a solemn opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of satirist, poet, and talented son of Turkistan — Muratbek Duysembekov — took place.

The purpose of the event was to honor and preserve the memory of our gifted compatriot, a source of pride for the region and a museum employee, whose life, like a falling star, ended too soon, while presenting his exemplary life as an inspiration for future generations.

The event was attended by Muratbek Duysembekov’s contemporaries and colleagues, close friends, his wife and children, museum leadership, and members of the local intelligentsia. Acting Director of the “Aziret Sultan” National Reserve-Museum, Nurlan Dukenbayev, opened the exhibition by noting that poet Muratbek Duysembekov had worked as a researcher at the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum Museum between 1985 and 1988.

The poet’s wife, Gulzhan Yelibaykyzy, expressed her gratitude to the museum’s staff for organizing the exhibition. Professor Umit Meldekhanova of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and journalist Atirkul Tashimova of the Ongtustik Kazakhstan newspaper shared valuable memories of the poet.

Students of the Faculty of Philology of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, together with the poet’s grandson Bekasyl Zerekuly, recited excerpts from his works, winning the admiration and heartfelt appreciation of the audience.
