Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the National Museum-Reserve «Aziret Sultan» and the State Hermitage Museum

On September 11, 2025, an important Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Aziret Sultan» and the world-famous Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution «The State Hermitage Museum» of Russia. The Memorandum contributes to strengthening cooperation in the cultural, scientific and educational fields, and also serves as a basis for deepening international relations.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, comprehensive work will be carried out in the following areas:

  • Advanced training through internships and exchange of experience between scientists and specialists;
  • Joint development and implementation of research and cultural and educational projects;
  • Consultations on determining priority areas of research in the field of culture, history, art and museum work;
  • Participation in and holding of joint scientific and scientific-practical conferences, seminars and symposia;
  • Organization of joint scientific programs, as well as mutual provision of materials and results (achievements) in the field of history, art and museum work;
  • Organization of business meetings;
  • Exchange of scientific information, documentation, literature and bibliographic publications.

The signing of the memorandum took place within the framework of the XI International Forum of United Cultures, which is being held on September 11-13 in St. Petersburg. The forum brings together representatives of leading museums of the Eurasian and African continents to discuss topical issues of modern museum work.

Speaking at the session «Sharp Angles of Museum Space», N. Dukenbaev emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage using the example of the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum. In his report, he outlined the relevance of issues of preserving and reviving cultural monuments in accordance with modern requirements.

This event once again demonstrated the high international status of the Aziret Sultan National Museum-Reserve and became a significant stage in promoting the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan on the global stage.
