The National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Azret Sultan» houses the prayer book «Nurnama». This book is written in the Turkic language, with a total volume of 127 pages. The work was published in Arifzhanov’s printing house in Tashkent. The cover is made of red cardboard, the sheets are pink. Book size: 14×9 cm. This book was given to the museum by a resident of Turkestan, Abdrakhman Abdimutalip.

«Prayer» is a word of Arabic origin. The linguistic meaning is to ask, to desire, to ask for help. Prayer is considered one of the strongest bonds between a slave and Allah. It is a form of worship that raises a person’s rank. This is what the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught his Ummah when and how to do prayer.

In this book, several prayers are given in Turkic and Persian. They:
— «Nurnama»
– «Risala Charuadarlik»
– «Risala Dikhan»
– «Risala Tafashat bada Nazar»
– «Ismi Agzam»

According to Islamic scholars, Allah created the holy Light of the Prophet Muhammad (s.g.u) before the creation of 18,000 universes. That is, the beginning of all creation is light. According to this view, the Almighty created the foundation from his light and created the existing universe from it.

On the second page of the book is the prayer «Nurnama». This prayer says: «If someone does not move forward, if he is in a serious condition, if he faces various difficulties, if he reads this prayer, his business will go to the right.»

On pages 57-59, the basic word of the faith of Islam is written – «La ilaha illallah Muhammadun Rasulallah» (there is no god but Allah, Muhammad is his messenger). The following is the name of Allah, the names of the four caliphs: Abubakir (r.a), Omar (r.a), Osman (r.a), Ali (r.a) and the two grandsons of the Prophet, Hassan (r.a) and Hussein (r.a) are quoted. It is written that whoever reads these prayers passes with faith at the moment when a person transfers his soul.
On page 64, «Risala Charuadarlik» (prayer recited to bless the cause of those involved in animal husbandry);
On page 81, «Risala Dihkhan» (prayer recited to bless the cause of those engaged in agriculture);
On page 107 of «Risala Tafashat bada Nazar» (a prayer preventing eye contact);
On page 110 – «Ismi Agzam» (Allanyn ulyk esim). The wish of a person who prays through «Ismi Agzam» will be accepted. Among the Islamic scholars, companions and naturalists such as Abdullah ibn Abbas (r.a.), Abu Hanifa (r.a.), said that this name was «Allah».

The book «Nurnama» tells about prayers to the Prophet Muhammad (s.g.u) through the angel Gabriel. The book says that a person who regularly reads prayers is in the Haq Tagala shelter, in both worlds his face becomes bright, he survives evil, he intercedes on Judgment Day, he fears harm when he travels, and a thief does not enter his house. It was said that if a person sincerely believes in Allah and reads these prayers daily, he will be in the shelter of Allah, the intercession of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.u.).
