April 12 is the Day of Science workers in Kazakhstan. It is known that this date in the calendar was not chosen by chance. Because April 12 is the birthday of the outstanding scientist, the great son of the Kazakh people, the founder of domestic science, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Kanysh Satbayev. This year marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding citizen.

In this regard, the staff of the museum-reserve of the National Historical and Cultural Museum “Azret Sultan” held a traveling exhibition “Uly dala tulgalary” and a lecture on the topic “April 12-Day of Scientists” in the general education school number 12 named after K. Satpayev in Turkestan. The exhibition will be dedicated to the anniversary of the persons celebrated this year.

Also in the lecture “April 12 – Science Workers Day”, held within the framework of the exhibition, the history of the origin of science, its development in different epochs was highlighted, and the emphasis was placed on the achievements of science in the past and present.
