It is forbidden to take photos and videos without permission using a drone in and around the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
In accordance with the order of the minister of Industry and infrastructure development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 31, 2020 No. 706 “On approval of the rules of use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace of the country”, unauthorized launch of a drone was prohibited on the territory of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum Azret Sultan.
This decision is important for the security of the densely populated area and the protection of historical monuments.
To launch an unmanned aerial vehicle over protected objects must be approved by the National Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Security Service at least 5 working days in advance.
The protection zone of the state historical and cultural reserve-museum “Azret Sultan” is 88.7 hectares. The territory includes the mausoleums of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Rabiya Sultan Begim and the octagonal Sagan, the underground Hilvet, the Friday mosque, the Kultobe settlement, the Khan’s Horde and the Khan’s mosque.
