A memorandum was signed in the capital on the implementation of the scientific and educational project “In the footsteps of Yassawi” and its promotion in the Turkic world.
The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Azret Sultan” and the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey set many important tasks for the future.
The scientific and educational project “In the footsteps of Yassawi” has big plans. All the facts about Khoja Akhmed Yassawi, respected by the whole Turkic world, have not been fully studied. Valuable data, books and genealogies were destroyed during the anti-religious policy, and some were preserved with various damages. A similar fate with the manuscript about Yassawi and his relatives found in Turkestan. The work and legacy of those who were persecuted, humiliated, imprisoned, and subjected to various deprivations for their religious beliefs have survived to this day. In today’s memorandum, we agreed to conduct research on the followers of Khoja Akhmed Yassawi in the Republic of Turkey. Disciples of Yassawi live in more than 100 countries around the world,”- said Nurbolat Ahmetzhanov, director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”.
– Khoja Ahmet Yasawi is a man, a guide not only for his students and followers of the Turkic world, but also for the whole world. We were pleased with the direction of the scientific and educational project “In the footsteps of Yasawi”, which is a museum-reserve “Azret Sultan”. For this purpose, we specially visited Turkestan, met with the head of the museum-reserve and got acquainted with his work. According to bilateral agreement we are working on translation of XIII century manuscript into Turkish language and its publication as electronic book. We want all Turks to be able to read and familiarize themselves with the latest facts about Yassawi. To this end, we hope to have a memorandum signed today at the Ministry of Culture and Sports between the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency with the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Azret Sultan State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve and Ismail Gurlek, representative of the Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Kazakhstan.
In order to preserve the values of historical and cultural heritage within the framework of bilateral agreements, the popularization of found historical materials identified in the research project “In the footsteps of Yassawi”, their presentation for restoration, distribution to the Turkic world, the promotion of religious and historical monuments and coordination of implementation of cultural excursion programs, formation of tourist image, exchange of experience and professional development of specialists in the field of culture, as well as the creation of coordination activities in related.
