The year of Bolat khan’s birth is unknown, he died approximately in 1723/24. He ruled khanate in 1712–1723/24. In historical records he sometimes named Bulat, Polat, Pulad, Pulat (Erofeeva, 2001: 76). Bolat is from Djadik dynasty of Kazakh khans, son of Janibek. He was son of Tauke khan and grandson of Jangir khan. Bolat gained khan power by right of succession from his father. There were several tribes of Middle zhuz under his control: argyn, qypchak, waq and naimans. There are no information about exact tribes and regions Bolat khan controlled. According to historical records, only Abil sultan (Abulmambet) is known as his descendant (became khan from 1739 ) (Erofeeva, 1997: 76, 111). After Tauke khan’s death and improving Kayip khan’s status to senior, approximately before “Aktaban shubyryndy”, Bolat khan Tauke uly was the ruler on the territory of Middle zhuz and then his brother Sameke khan (as per long-standing opinion, Bolat khan died during Anyrakay battle. (Erofeeva, 1997: 76, 111).
