As part of the republican campaign “Clean Kazakhstan”, initiated by the head of state K.K.Tokayev, a subbotnik (in former USSR, voluntary unpaid work on days off, originally esp. on Saturdays) was held today at the ancient settlement of Sauran. The initiators of this event were representatives of the regional mass media, headed by a deputy of the Turkestan regional maslikhat, and a member of the deputy faction of the “AMANAT” party, Dulat Abish. Also, employees of the National Museum-Reserve “Әзірет Сұлтан” and state institutions of the Sauran district took part in the cleaning of the ancient city.
