Turkestan aksakal transferred historical heritage to the museum fund

The Turkestan aksakal presented the state historical and cultural reserve-museum “Аzret Sultan” with historical, religious and spiritual books and written monuments that were passed down from generation to generation. Aksakal Lakhabayev Turmaganbet, who has kept the heritage until today, considered that the centuries-old exhibits should be kept in the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.

– “My father died when I was 3 years old. These things were left to me by my mother, who died at seventy. We kept these things that were passed down from generation to generation, but did not pay attention to the meaning, historical value of the inscriptions inside. We decided to donate the centuries-old heritage to the museum in order to preserve it forever,” said Turmaganbet аksakal.
In this regard, the acting director of the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve, Yersin Tazhibayev, thanked 81-year-old Turmaganbet Adambekovich for his responsible attitude to historical values and desire to transfer them to the museum, promising that in the future the museum staff will preserve the books.

Tolkyn Zholdasov, an employee of the museum-reserve, conducted research and translated the works that were transferred to the museum fund.

– “The smaller volume book is in poor condition. The first pages and the last pages of the book are lost. In this regard, it was not possible to determine the year of publication of the book. The cover of the book is cut from another book. As a result of the first review works on the internal content of the preserved part of the book, it is clear that the events between Adam and Satan were described in Turkic inscriptions, and the ways and methods of using individual letters and numbers inside the book for the treatment of various bodily and spiritual diseases that cling to a person are also outlined. The surviving part of the book itself consists of several chapters. We hope that further research will allow us to fully understand the contents of the book.

As for the newspaper published in St. Petersburg in 1878, the relic was badly damaged and torn into small pieces. In parts, separate parts of a religious object (mosque or mausoleum) and parts of Arabic words are observed. In order to determine the content of this exhibit, it is necessary to carry out a complete restoration,” said Tolkyn Zholdasov.

According to the translators, another book contains the stories of the prophets and prayers that heal people suffering from various ailments. The names of Allah, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and 4 companions (Abu Bakr, Omar, Usman, Ali) and the names of the Prophet’s grandchildren Hassan and Hussein are given. The safety of the book is very poor.

Due to the poor preservation of the old map, it was not possible to fully understand the spiritual centers and historical sites. Written and printed works require restoration.
