In “Azret Sultan” the reserve-museum an exhibition “The Holy City – through the eyes of children” was held

In the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan” was held the photo exhibition “The Holy City – Through the Eyes of Children”, dedicated to the International Children’s Day.

The exhibition presents photographs of young artists who were recognized as the best in the drawing competition on the theme “Astana and Turkestan”, held in 2018 in the reserve Museum “Azret Sultan”. The event was attended by students and teachers of schools of Turkestan, young people, residents and guests of the city, the Museum staff. “When I grow up, I want to be an artist. I really liked the picture of Taykazan. I visit the Museum for the first time. We were shown the mausoleum, I really liked it,” said five-year-old Bekarys Magauiya, who together with the teacher visited the exhibition.

As part of the event, students and children of kindergartens were given gifts on behalf of the Museum-reserve and a tour. In addition, the children watched the animated film “Kultegin”, shot by the Kazakhfilm Studio. In particular, “Azret Sultan” the State historical and cultural reserve-Museum – one of the largest museums of the Republic, pays special attention to the development of school tourism and youth. In order to understand and respect the historical values of the younger generation in “Azret Sultan” the reserve-Museum provides free access to students in the summer holidays. Since the beginning of the year 61 343 students visited the Museum for free, got acquainted with the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and historical exhibits of the Museum.

In addition, exhibitions for the younger generation on various topics were organized at the museum’s exposition sites, as well as traveling exhibitions covered all regions of the country, districts and cities of our region.

In the mausoleum of Khoja Akhmed Yasavi, a mini-cinema hall was launched on the basis of  N.A. Nazarbayev’s project “Digital Kazakhstan”, children and tourists can watch historical, animated and documentary films for free.
