Beautification of Zhusup ata mausoleum

Landscaping works are underway at the Zhusup Ata Mausoleum, which is part of the Azret Sultan State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum. Under the auspices of the joint initiative of the museum-management and local businessmen, planting of 700 roses, 100 mulberries and 40 bushes of juniper is underway.
In addition, for the convenience of visitors will be installed 10 seats and 22 lamps.

It’s worth noting that last year the Aset Sultan State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum and Museum together with local sponsors set up an iron gate to the mausoleum and built an asphalt road. The only footpaths around the mausoleum were also concreted and the toilet was repaired. Hot and cold water was supplied and commissioned to the toilet.

The Mausoleum of Zhusup Ata, located 25 km away from Turkestan, in the Old Ikan village is an architectural monument. The total area is 1.5 hectares.

Known as a contemporary, disciple, and nephew of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Zhusup is one of the 12th-century religious figures.
Researches were made on the foundation of the Zhusup Mausoleum in 2005. The mausoleum consists of two rooms. The total length is 22-23 meters and the width is 12.87 meters. The internal size of the living room is 9.24 mx9.21 meters. In 2008 a full restoration of the Zhusup ata mausoleum was performed.

They belong to: Sabyr-ata, Kurban-ata, Zhusup -ata, Khalil-ata (son of Joseph-grandfather), Ibrahim-ata, Abdizhalil-ata, Asan-ata, Abdiz-Aziz-grandfather. Those buried inside the mausoleum have the saying, “Zhusup descendants or descendants must be his disciples.”
