Aksakal of Turkistan handed over manuscripts and ancient books to the Reserve-Museum fund
A resident of Turkistan, a pensioner Aliakbar Artykovich Jalilov, donated 23 copies of ancient manuscripts and historical books of a religious nature to the funds of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum “Azret Sultan”, as well as a carpet with a half-century history of the Yasawi mausoleum.

According to Aliakbar Artykovich, the most valuable things of the XIX century were collected from the books of his ancestors and teachers during the period of his education. The aksakal preferred to leave them for the future, transferring the heritage with rich historical data to the fund of the museum-reserve. Among the written monuments presented by Aliakbar Artykovich are the works of Alisher Navoi, books and manuscripts by Sofi Allayar “Maslakul muttakin” (The Way of the Pious), “Muhtasar Al-wikaya”, about the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “Dalail khayriyat” (proof of Good), Islamic terms, syntax of the Arabic language, “Fiqh”. Acting director of the museum Yersin Botabayevich expressed great gratitude to Aliakbar aksakal for the invaluable books transferred to the museum’s fund.
