A well appeared in the mausoleum of Ukasha Ata

Organized by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, the issue of providing visitors of the mausoleum Ukasha Ata with clean drinking water, watering and planting of willows and flowers has been resolved. With the support of sponsors, a 40-meter artesian well worth 5,000,000 tenge was dug near the Ukasha Ata mausoleum. In addition, the well was paved and landscaped.

Today Akhmetzhanov Nurbolat Kadyrovich, Director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, Deputy Chairman of the Turkestan City Council of Veterans P. Dosybekov, sponsor Ongarbek Haji Meirbekovich took part in the opening of an artesian well near the mausoleum Ukasha Ata.

“In summer, Ukasha Ata has a shortage of drinking water for visitors, as well as watering and planting of various fruit and shade trees. The greenery has been irrigated by special vehicles. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ongarbek Haji Meirbekovich, who supported our initiative and showed his citizenship.

The Ukasha Ata mausoleum and well, which are among the monuments of national importance under the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, have been gaining momentum in recent years with the help of sponsors. This year, the area around the Ukasha Ata mausoleum and the well was cleaned and the benches were reconstructed. New electric lights were installed in the parking lot. Places of rest for pilgrims were given to the benefit of the people. Also, the museum “History of Ukasha Ata” opened its doors to visitors. The exposition of the museum includes valuable information about the life of the Companion Ukasha and more than 70 exhibits related to archeological, ethnographic and written culture. In order to satisfy the requests of pilgrims, a large shed for fuel and water was built and handed over to the people. The sidewalks leading to Baba’s head have been repaired, “N. Akhmetzhanov, director of the state historical and cultural reserve-museum” Azret Sultan “said.

During the meeting, the head of the reserve-museum Nurbolat Kadyrovich presented a letter of thanks and a special gift on behalf of the institution to Ongarbek Haji Meirbekovich, who opened a well for visitors to the mausoleum Ukasha Ata and supported the delivery of food.

It’s worth noting that in accordance with the development plan for 2018-2021 adopted by the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum “Azret Sultan”, a number of works on landscaping of historical sites, quality service of tourists and pilgrims are carried out with the involvement of sponsors.

At the same time, a special road for the disabled and a ramp were built on the road to the well. Special waste bins and warning signs were installed in connection with the cleaning work.

In the spring, more than 100 fruit trees, spruce trees and flowers were planted near the Ukasha Ata mausoleum.

Landscaping and museumization of historical and sacred places will continue in the future.
